Stakeholder and Authority Coordinator

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Stakeholder & Client Interface**
- Represent COENGR / the client in all stakeholder engagements, acting as the public face of the company for authority and client interactions.
- Develop, maintain, and update stakeholder and potential client registers.
- Build and manage effective relationships with government entities, semi-government bodies, and relevant approval authorities.
- Coordinate stakeholder expectations and facilitate engagement through meetings, dialogue, and formal communication.
**Permitting & Approvals Management**
- Lead and coordinate the end-to-end permitting process to ensure timely acquisition of required permits, NOCs, and licenses.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and update internal tracking systems for permit and approval status across all ongoing projects.
- Monitor risks that may impact the permitting timeline and escalate issues to project leadership with recommendations.
**Project Support & Documentation**
- Coordinate with design teams and consultants to ensure submission packages comply with authority requirements.
- Review deliverables from design consultants and contractors to ensure they meet stakeholder and contractual expectations.
- Assist in preparing and issuing authority-related documentation including submissions, revisions, justifications, clarifications, and approvals.
- Maintain a current and organized record of all authority-related documentation and correspondence.
- Prepare project and office reports, presentations, and communications related to permitting and authority coordination.
- Issue weekly authority progress reports and participate in regular project status updates.
**Internal Coordination & Design Review**
- Actively assist the Office Manager and/or Design Director in daily project matters.
- Participate in weekly/monthly progress meetings, prepare minutes of meetings, and follow up on action items.
- Assist in design reviews and coordination of production drawings to ensure they align with client and authority requirements.
- Participate in the review of project specifications and ensure compliance with authority and statutory standards.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Minimum 4 years of experience “Preferably in Abu Dhabi”
- Comprehensive knowledge of all relevant regulations from A to Z.
- Experience working with UAE government or semi-government authorities for obtaining project permits and NOCs and using portals for entities like ADM and DMT.
- Strong knowledge of local planning procedures, permitting regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to build positive client relationships.
