**Job Purpose**:
A consultant is responsible for seeing patients, managing emergencies (including those in the outpatient department) and operating. The scope of surgeries is relatively vast (according to the privileges). They must support junior staff, residents and specialists, if needed. He/she must assist and share in diagnosis in out-patient departments. They write reports and take calls as per departmental regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Clinical Responsibilities**:

- Perform surgeries according to the list of core privileges set by the hospital
- Aware and able to use ENT surgical equipment
- Involvement in in-patient and out-patient duties
- Diagnose, evaluate, admit consult and treat patients
- Performs rounds seeing patients with the departmental team
- Writes reports - Involved with teaching/guiding junior staff
- Takes calls as per departmental regulations

**Leadership and Departmental Management**:

- overseeing daily operations and managing staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the department's services, improve patient outcomes, and ensure efficient workflows.
- Mentor and provide training to junior physicians, residents
- Collaborate with hospital management to develop and maintain budgets, allocate resources, and plan for future departmental growth.
- Represent the department in interdisciplinary meetings and liaise with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous professional development within the department.

**Requirements**:

- Medical degree from a recognized institution, with specialization in ENT Surgery
- **Western board certification** (e.g., American Board, FRCS, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in ENT Surgery, with a proven track record of clinical excellence and leadership.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Fluency in English
