This post will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication, modification, and repair of laboratory furniture, fume hoods, ducting, and custom lab equipment components. The role involves supervising technicians, ensuring precision in fabrication processes, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with the service and project teams to meet client requirements within deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and manage daily activities of fabrication and assembly technicians.
- Interpret and execute technical drawings, fabrication sketches, and client specifications for lab furniture and equipment.
- Oversee the fabrication of stainless steel, powder-coated metal, and other materials used in lab furniture and ducting systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of fabrication jobs for new installations, upgrades, or servicing requests.
- Coordinate with the service division to fabricate or modify components needed during laboratory equipment maintenance or refurbishment.
- Ensure all fabricated components comply with safety, quality, and industry standards (such as SEFA, ISO).
- Monitor inventory and request necessary raw materials, tools, and equipment.
- Inspect fabricated parts and supervise trial fittings to ensure proper assembly and function.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in the workshop.
- Maintain proper documentation of fabrication activities, including job cards, QA checklists, and progress reports.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff and ensure skill development in fabrication techniques.
- Liaise with design engineers and service teams for continuous improvement and feedback incorporation.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering / Fabrication Technology / Industrial Design or equivalent.
- 5-8 years of experience in fabrication, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in lab equipment or related industries.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes for lab furniture, fume hoods, ductwork, and customized lab systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and CAD layouts.
- Familiarity with stainless steel, aluminum, MS fabrication, and surface finishing techniques.
- Excellent communication, team management, and organizational skills.
- Experience in the UAE or GCC is preferred, with knowledge of local HSE regulations.

**Working Conditions**:

- Workshop and occasional onsite support in operational laboratories.
- May require flexible hours based on project or client servicing schedules.
- Strict adherence to PPE and lab safety protocols.

Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month
