**The Blueprint**:
In this role, you will impact the company strategy as follows:

- Reporting of issues as they arise.
- Completion of Progress Training & participating in Progress related activities.
- Diligence in prevention of wastage.
- Attend department meetings.
- Minimum 1 appraisal per year.

**Key Relationships**:

- Ensure full liaison with other members of the team.
- Strong communication with other departments, especially Reception.
- Strong relationship with guests and internal customers.
- Communication with Bell Captain.

**Supportive Functions**:
**Key Tasks**:

- Welcome guests and direct them to wherever requested using the standard.
- To load and unload luggage from vehicles.
- To properly label all luggage to avoid confusion.
- Open transport doors and greet guests.
- Protect guests at either entrance from inclement weather.
- To ensure Security of guest luggage left in your care and to safely store it and give guest a receipt.
- Know regular guest names and requirements.
- Accurate knowledge of hotel facilities & services.
- Answer guest questions and resolve guest problems.

- Promote the Hotel generally.
- Know the names, functions and locations of the Management Team.
- Be aware of daily functions, events, and VIP and group arrivals.
- To carry out any other duties as required.
- To ensure that no information regarding guest names, details or room numbers is given to unauthorized persons.
- Keep entrances clear and clean from litter.
- Report any accidents (guest or staff).
- To be fully aware of the Health & Safety Policy.
- To be aware of fire and bomb procedures.
- Take care in work to avoid accidents.
- To wear correct uniform at all times and maintain standards of appearance, personal hygiene, behavior and discipline.
- Report suspicious characters or suspect packages.
- Care when lifting or moving heavy objects
- Advise Bell Captain, Duty Manager or Security of any traffic problems.

**Self Management**
- Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
- Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies.
- Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self development.

**General**
- Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times.
- Familiarize yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of desired behaviors that we expect all employees to display.
- Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
- Have the desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through on-going training.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.

**Health Safety & Security**
- Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety at the hotel.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures at the hotel
- Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in timely manner and brought to the attention of the Department Head as per Fire Life & Safety (FLS) procedures

**SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Must be Computer literate
- Physically fit and friendly personality
