**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs using workshop documentation systems.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
- Conduct on-site repairs for equipment when required at construction sites.
- Order and replace faulty parts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics, if applicable.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols within the workshop and on construction sites.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with heavy machinery, plant equipment, and diesel vehicles in a construction or industrial setting.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for diesel engines and vehicle systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in construction equipment.
- Valid driver’s license (heavy vehicle license is a plus).

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working in outdoor or workshop environments, including dusty or noisy conditions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or shifts, as required.
