Project Manager

The Project Manager - responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of piping projects within Technomak’s fabrication and construction operations. This includes direct coordination of design, procurement, fabrication, site installation, and commissioning phases, ensuring that all activities comply with technical specifications, safety, quality, and budgetary requirements. The role demands strong leadership and technical expertise in piping systems, with proven ability to manage EPC and modular construction projects in the Oil & Gas and industrial sectors. The Project Manager will ensure that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full alignment with client expectations and Technomak’s quality standards through effective coordination with clients, consultants, and cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage the complete execution of piping projects from initiation through design, procurement, fabrication, site installation, testing, and commissioning. - Ensure all project activities comply with technical specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. - Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle. - Lead the project team and coordinate effectively with engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and QA/QC departments to achieve project objectives. - Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. - Review and approve project drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and material specifications to ensure technical compliance and constructability. - Manage client interfaces and maintain strong relationships through proactive communication, regular progress meetings, and transparent reporting. - Control project costs by tracking budgets, managing variations, and overseeing subcontractor performance and claims. - Evaluate and approve vendor and subcontractor selections in coordination with the procurement team. - Ensure effective material management, fabrication sequencing, and work planning to optimize production and installation schedules. - Lead project review meetings, prepare status reports, and present project performance updates to management and clients. - Drive a strong safety culture and ensure all project activities meet Technomak’s HSE standards and regulatory requirements.

Oversee QA/QC activities, ensuring proper documentation, inspection, and testing are completed before handover. - Support the development of project documentation, including method statements, procedures, test packs, and close-out dossiers. - Mentor and guide project engineers, supervisors, and site personnel to build a high performing project team. - Ensure effective project close-out, including final documentation, as-built drawings, performance review, and client acceptance. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Project Manager (Piping) - On-time delivery of piping projects in accordance with approved schedule and scope. - Compliance with project budget and cost control parameters. - Adherence to quality standards and minimization of non-conformances or rework - Maintenance of a safe work environment with zero major incidents or LTIs. - Client satisfaction and positive performance feedback at project closeout. - Effective coordination across design, procurement, fabrication, and installation teams. - Timely submission of progress reports, documentation, and project close-out deliverables. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline. - Minimum 7-10 years of experience managing piping projects within Oil & Gas, EPC, or fabrication industries. - Proven experience in handling end-to-end project execution — from engineering, procurement, and fabrication to site installation and commissioning. - Strong knowledge of international piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.). - PMP or equivalent Project Management certification (preferred). Technical Skills: - Expertise in piping fabrication, erection, hydro-testing, and commissioning activities. - Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera (P6). - Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, HSE regulations, and fabrication methodologies. - Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams. - Sound knowledge of material specifications, welding processes, and NDT procedures. - Familiarity with ERP or project control systems for monitoring cost, schedule, and resources.
