Autocad Lead Designer

**Education Requirement**: Technical (2-year) degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education
**Experience Requirement**:Four (4) years to Seven (7) years related experience.
**Licenses/ Certifications**:Comprehensive understanding of pertinent codes, design specifications and requirements, company/industry practices.
**Position Description**:
AutoCAD Lead Designer - Provides design services to an engineering or project team.
Performs and checks most types of calculations and design using both computer-aided and manual design techniques. Provides design assistance to the Lead Engineer, as requested, in the areas of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement, activities etc.
Performs all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, prepares/maintains schedules, develops/monitors estimates and manpower forecasts, assign work, works with project/client/field, material procurement, permits, and subcontract activities.
Utilizes vendor data and works with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs. Performs a squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.
**Statement of Work Summary**:
AutoCAD Lead Designer - Accomplish surveys and translate collected GPS data into AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 for each survey or project. This discipline shall ensure that GIS data is available to initial design projects and confirms GIS data for projects entering final design. This discipline may be required to travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify design requirements and quality of work being performed. This discipline shall be responsible for accurately accounting and validating air field obstructions annually to CAD Technicians.
**Please note this position must be US National with Existing Secret Clearance or National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is preferred. Ability to obtain NACI or Secret Clearance is required for all personnel without Active Clearance or NACI record.**
