**Job description**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Cost Estimation**: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for MEP systems in fit-out projects, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
- **Take-offs**: Conduct quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications to determine the materials and labor required.
- **Bid Preparation**: Collaborate with project managers and design teams to prepare bids and proposals, ensuring all necessary details are included.
- **Market Research**: Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry standards to provide competitive pricing.
- **Supplier Coordination**: Source and communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and validate pricing for materials and services.
- **Cost Analysis**: Analyze and assess project costs, identify discrepancies, and suggest cost-saving measures.
- **Documentation**: Maintain thorough documentation of estimates, bids, and project-related correspondence for future reference.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with project management, design, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
- **Risk Assessment**: Identify potential risks and challenges in project estimates and recommend mitigation strategies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in MEP estimating, preferably in the fit-out sector.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
