**Responsibilities**
- **Laboratory Management**:

- Supervise daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in optimal condition through regular cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the availability of materials for experiments and academic projects.
- **Technical Support**:

- Assist students and faculty in conducting experiments, demonstrations, and lab-based projects.
- Provide technical support during lab sessions, ensuring smooth operation of equipment and experiments.
- Conduct pre-lab demonstrations for students on the proper use of equipment.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce safety guidelines and conduct regular safety drills to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Monitor the use of potentially hazardous materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- **Training and Development**:

- Train students and faculty on the operation of specialized equipment and laboratory procedures.
- Design and conduct lab-based training sessions aligned with academic requirements.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of experiments, test results, and maintenance activities.
- Keep equipment manuals and lab operation logs updated.
- **Facility Enhancement**:

- Recommend upgrades to laboratory facilities to align with emerging industry trends.
- Collaborate with faculty to incorporate innovative lab practices and technologies.
- **Additional Duties**:

- Assist in curriculum development by suggesting lab-based practical activities.
- Support accreditation processes by maintaining detailed documentation of lab activities and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head of School/Academic Director.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in laboratory supervision, technical support, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining electrical and mechanical laboratory equipment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

**Preferred**:

- Experience in conducting training sessions or working in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with advanced lab equipment used in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
- Certifications in laboratory safety or technical operations.
- Working knowledge of CAD software, materials testing, or construction simulation tools.

**Reports to**: Head of School

This role is an opportunity to support the hands-on learning goals of BAC, contributing to the development of future engineers. The Laboratory Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining state-of-the-art facilities and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment.
