Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide advise on all HSE matters including HSE policies, procedures and legal requirements.
- Carry out HSE audits and inspections in accordance with HSE audit and inspection plans.
- Identify HSE training needs for employees at different levels within the organization.
- Prepare and implement HSE Training Plan in consultation with QHE manager.
- Liaise with consultants, members of different departments within Specialist Services Group, regulatory bodies, clients on HSE matters in consultation with QHE manager.
- Report issues / shortfalls identified during site inspections or surveillance visits to QHE manager for further action.
- Enforce HSE procedures and practices through facilitation of incident reporting and investigation, raising non-conformance reports, violations, other means etc.
- Conduct special tool box meetings and internal trainings for advising workers about HSE requirements, legal requirements, possible hazards and risks.
- Oversee inspection of fire protection system, first aid kits, eye wash stations, spill kits etc. in accordance with Specialist Services procedures.
- Arrange emergency response drills.
- Issue permit to work in accordance with the requirements of permit to work procedure.
- Ensure that fire & safety systems/equipments, lifting gears etc. are certified on an ongoing basis by relevant departments in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that riggers, equipment operators, scaffolders, scaffold inspectors, fire fighters, first aiders etc. are certified on an ongoing basis in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Assist in facilitation of risk assessment.
- Ensure continuous availability of First Aid Services.
Qualification, Knowledge, Experience
- 3 year Diploma in Engineering or Industrial Safety.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate in occupational health and safety
- Certified Fire Fighter.
- Certified First Aider.
- 5 years working experience in construction, Oil and Gas industry
- Computer Skill: MS Word / Excel
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Organised and methodical.
- Problem solving and decision making
**Salary**: Up to AED8,000.00 per month
