**Responsibilities**:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented **Inspector - Irrigation** to join our award-winning team in Al Ain, UAE. The Irrigation Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality and proper installation of irrigation systems, along with other wet utilities such as sewerage, stormwater, potable water networks, manholes, and ducts. The role will involve collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the irrigation and wet utilities components of the project.
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Inspect and oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Monitor and verify the proper installation of all related wet utilities, including sewerage, stormwater systems, potable water networks, manholes, ducts, and other associated infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during the installation and operation of irrigation and other utility systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections and provide reports on the progress, quality, and any issues encountered during construction.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to review technical plans, specifications, and project requirements related to irrigation and wet utilities.
- Perform tests on irrigation systems and wet utilities to verify their functionality, pressure testing, and integrity.
- Ensure that all materials used in the installation of irrigation systems and wet utilities meet the required quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation process, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
- Document inspection results, track deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain records of inspection reports, test results, and other related documents.
- Assist in the coordination of inspections with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of the installation, testing, and maintenance of irrigation systems and other wet utilities.
- Strong understanding of local regulations, standards, and codes related to irrigation and wet utilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using inspection and testing equipment for irrigation and utility systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently on-site.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues before they arise.
