**Role overview**

To prepare and cook food on a daily basis according to business requirements and as directed by the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine. Assisting Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine in meal preparations, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock.

**Conditions of work**

While main duties are predominately carried out in the F & B facility, work may be required in other areas of the property.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine
- Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
- Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality
- Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies
- Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
- Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized
- Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine instructions
- Organize assigned section with regard to mise-en-place, production and service
- Take orders from Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine and carry them out in the correct manner
- Together with Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine prepare daily dry store, food requisitions and kitchen transfers on the appropriate forms in order to maintain the high stock rotation desired in their section
- Work to the specifications received by the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index
- Responsible for completing the daily checklists regarding mise-en-place and food storage
- Attend daily and monthly briefing with the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine
- Report any problems regarding failure of machinery and small equipment to the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine and to follow up and ensure the necessary work has been carried out
- Keep the section clean and tidy at all times
- Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform appearance and professionalism
- Follow company policies and procedures, demonstrate efficient teamwork and contribute to the achievement of business goals
- Any additional duties or tasks assigned by your supervisor that are required for the smooth running of your department

**Minimum Qualifications & Experience**:

- High School or GED in Hospitality or certification in culinary arts
- Fresher or minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in the same field
- Previous training for Essential Food & Safety in the UAE (EFST), Food Hygiene, etc.
- Has full knowledge of hygiene, hotel safety, and emergency procedure
- Strong stamina because this job will require you to stand in a long period
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure

**Salary package**:1,700 AED +250 AED additional allowance upon completion of 6 mos. (No overtime pay but extra hours can be taken) + sharing accommodation (no-live out allowance) + 3 x Meals/day + free uniform + free transportation inside the company + Every 2 years ticket cash (roundtrip to home country) + visa & medical insurance will be provided

Pay: Up to AED1,700.00 per month
