Project Controller

Make your mark as project controller at Boskalis In the role of project controller you are a member of the projects for the dredging and inland infrastructure business unit in the middle east and other regions. The project teams work independently, often under challenging circumstances, at foreign locations. The projects on which you will work as a project controller vary in size, complexity and duration.

As a project controller you are responsible for the administration on the project and financial reporting of the project. You are also involved in tax and contractual matters, treasury and insurance. As a project controller you report to the regional controller or business unit controller that is responsible for the entire project.

You will be part of the project, where you will stay with co-workers for some considerable time according to a set roster. Flexibility is required as you might need to move from project to project on short/long-term assignments. You must be a team player who has ability to stand his/her ground in case of a different opinions.

**Your responsibilities as a project controller**:

- Converting the tender budget into the work budget on behalf of the project manager and in consultation with the engineering department.
- Analysing and monitoring the project progress, costs in relation to the project budget.
- Discuss project forecast/progress with project manager.
- Indicating and reporting risks, deadlines/contractual obligations (particularly financial).
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable positions, cash flows, claims and variation orders.

**Your qualities**
You can make your mark as project controller if you have:

- Bachelors degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, Finance or similar.
- At least 10 years experience as a project controller in a contracting environment; Dredging/Offshore industry preferred.
- Experience with projects that have significant procurement scopes.
- Understanding the contractual dynamics of construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal.
