**Job Description: MEP Storekeeper**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Receive, verify, and record incoming MEP materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are updated in the inventory management system.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks to reconcile with system records.
- **Material Issuance**:

- Ensure timely issuance of MEP materials and tools to project teams.
- Prepare material requests and ensure proper documentation for issuance and returns.
- Track usage of materials and report discrepancies or excessive consumption.
- **Storage Organization**:

- Arrange and organize materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Ensure that all materials are stored safely to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure storage environment.
- **Procurement Coordination**:

- Liaise with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
- Inspect received materials for quality and quantity, and report any issues to the procurement team.
- Coordinate with project managers for forecasted material requirements.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain logs for material receipts, issuances, and returns.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Ensure proper documentation of all material movements, including transfer notes and delivery receipts.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to company policies and procedures for material handling and storage.
- Comply with safety regulations to minimize risks in the store area.
- Ensure that hazardous materials are stored and handled according to safety standards.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory or store management is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a storekeeper, preferably in an MEP or construction-related environment.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, and tools.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with construction project workflows and material requirements.
- Experience in handling MEP-specific tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards for storing and handling materials.
