Two year's Diploma preferably in technical qualification. Must have at least ten (10) years of experience in similar position fir major oil/gas projects. Must have IIW (International institute of welding) certification (certified welding inspector CWI) The inspector shall be certified as American welding society CWI or CSWIP Certified welding. Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ANSI B.
31.3,31.4 and 31.8 ASME section V and IX,API 620,650 AND 1104, AWS D1.1 required for the execution of the work. Where NDT forms part of the WORK, and inspector is required to review, NDT program and result he shall have been previously qualified and certified to minimum ASNT level II.
In the relevant method (s) when performing, reviewing ensuring or auditing NDT in VT,MT,PT,RT or UT, he shall be certified in the specific methods.
