Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking a skilled **Mechanical Estimator** with experience in **aluminum and facade systems**. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical components within facade projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring bids are competitive and aligned with client expectations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare mechanical estimates for facade systems including brackets, support structures, operable elements, and integration with HVAC or shading systems
- Interpret and analyze architectural and mechanical drawings, specifications, and project scopes
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure estimates reflect technical feasibility and design intent
- Solicit and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors
- Develop detailed take-offs, labor estimates, and material cost breakdowns
- Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project cost and performance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and industry standards
**Requirements**:
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, ideally with exposure to facade or aluminum system projects
- Strong understanding of facade mechanics, building envelope systems, and installation processes
- Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, PlanSwift)
- Ability to read and interpret both mechanical and architectural drawings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with curtain wall, rainscreen, and custom metal cladding systems
- Knowledge of local building codes, performance standards, and LEED/sustainability practices
