Our client, a prestigious university based in Ras Al Khaimah is looking to recruit Lecturer in Department of Computing. They are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable Lecturer to join our existing team. The Lecturer’s responsibilities include teaching a number of classes, attending conferences, seminars, conducting research, and supervising students. You should be able to collaborate with colleagues, advise teaching assistants, and tackle several administrative tasks.
- Developing and delivering course material, curricula, and syllabus.
- Assisting with the training and recruitment of new lecturers, teaching assistants, and Professors.
- Supervising, advising, and mentoring teaching assistants and graduate students.
- To induct students appropriately, to provide academic advice, counseling, educational guidance, and tutorial support to students, including individual learning plans as directed.
- To set, evaluate, and mark students’ course work, homework and other assignments promptly, and to record marks on College systems as requested, in accordance with the College Assessment and Marking Policy and procedures.
- Participating in faculty and departmental meetings.
- Shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting students for graduate programs.
- Organizing guest seminars and faculty events where students can interact with established industry professionals.
- Conduct workshop for Management Development Programme/Executive Education
- To assess, track, plan, deliver art instruction in didactic and provide relevant and timely feedback on achievement, progress and developmental needs to students, academic and other managers/colleagues, including student records.
- To write half-termly reports on students with clear formative comments and targets as to how to improve work, by deadlines given, and provide regular estimated grades and feedback on tests as required. Maintain effective records of lessons, grades awarded and marks given in class. Ensure accurate attendance records are kept for every lesson.
- Proctor exams, prepare exemplars for the respective Units assigned.
- Ensuring all the assessments and exemplars are approved by the Internal Verifier and Program Director.

Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
