The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen. They assist the kitchen staff in various tasks such as food preparation, cleaning, organizing, and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and food items under the direction of the head chef or kitchen supervisor. This may include chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sauces.
- **Dishwashing**: Operate commercial dishwashers to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Ensure that all items are properly sanitized and stored.
- **Cleaning and Sanitization**: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen. This includes cleaning countertops, equipment, floors, and storage areas. Follow proper cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- **Stock Management**: Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies. Keep track of inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
- **Assistance During Service**: Support kitchen staff during busy periods by performing tasks such as plating dishes, restocking ingredients, and assisting with food orders.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing food to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.
- **Teamwork**: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Communicate effectively and assist others as needed to ensure efficient operation.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Lift and carry heavy objects, such as bags of ingredients or kitchen equipment.
- Work in a hot and humid environment, and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.

**Working Conditions**:
The Kitchen Assistant primarily works in the kitchen of a restaurant, catering company, or other food service establishment. They may be exposed to heat, steam, and loud noise during peak hours. The position may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts depending on the needs of the business.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
