Our Middle East office has an opening in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. for a

**Port Captain**

The purpose of this position is to oversee and organize efficient operations of the assigned vessels in order to deliver client services in a cost effective and safe manner. The role is reporting directly to the Contract Manager.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting Contract Manager in ensuring the safe & efficient operation of the Fleet.
- Ensuring vessel and crew compliance are valid at all times.
- Establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with the Contract Manager, TSI, Vessel Crew and Client Representatives to continuously improve service in response to customer/client feedback.
- Managing the operations and maintenance of company and client specified assets and equipment.
- Ensuring procedures covering all routine maintenance of deck and equipment are followed.
- Ensuring all operational and vessel personnel comply with Operational, SHE-Q and HR Policies and Procedures.
- Assisting with investigations and analyze causes of incidents/defects to any company assets within the contract.
- Assisting and being actively involved with implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Managing local office and stores as per DOC requirements.
- Acting as substitute onboard vessels as and when required.
- Continuously improving service in response to customer/client feedback.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role you should have the following;
- Master STCW - 95 Unlimited Regulation II / 2 white list is required.
- Relevant marine operating experience, with sea-going experience as a Master is a must.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Master on AHTS to be considered.
- In-depth understanding and experience of marine industry and terminal operations.
- Strong managerial, administrative skills and a pro-active work approach.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English is essential.
- Experience in working with multinational and multicultural crew and staff.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, optimistic, hands-on and the ability to manage stress.
- Previous or current experience in the Middle East Region is seen as an added advantage.
