**Description**:
The Water Research Center at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to conduct advanced studies on the selective recovery of precious metals from seawater and hypersaline brines. Applicants with strong experience in water treatment, adsorption, membrane science, and electrochemical separation are encouraged to apply. Research at the WRC focuses on developing next-generation water and environmental technologies. Our projects involve collaborations with faculty at NYUAD, and industrial partners. State-of-the-art facilities at NYUAD include advanced membrane fabrication labs, analytical chemistry instruments, and seawater testing capabilities.

Responsibilities of the position include:

- Designing and synthesizing novel separation materials.
- Performing laboratory and bench-scale experiments.
- Characterizing material properties.
- Analyzing separation performance.
- Developing SOPs and RAs.
- Mentoring students.
- Preparing scientific manuscripts.
