Consultant Radiologist

Provide comprehensive care to the patients according to current best evidence-based standards.
Responsible for the specialized medical care of the patients.
Required to be involved in non-clinical medical centre matters and care of any patient when required.
Responsible for compliance to the ethical and professional standards set by the medical centre and regulatory authorities.

**Clinical Service**
- Decide the mode of treatment to the patient, if necessary, by utilizing the available/ prescribed diagnostic resources.
- Provide effective treatment based on the best available evidence and refer the patients if necessary to another practitioner/specialist when this is in the patient's best interests
- Consult and take advice from colleagues Prescribe medicine(s) or treatment, including repeat prescriptions, only when adequate knowledge of the patient's health status has been acquired and the medicine(s) or treatment serves the patient's needs.
- Ensure all patients are entitled to care and treatment to meet their clinical needs. Patient may not be refused treatment because their medical conditions may pose a risk.
- Adhere to a high standard of clinical consultations and physical examination(s).
- Recognize and function within the limits of own clinical knowledge and competence.
- Take all necessary action / steps to minimize the risk before providing treatment or make suitable alternative arrangements for treatment in emergency situations, considering own safety, competence, and the availability of other options for care.
- Provide all relevant information about the patient, including their medical history, the results of the investigations, the treatment provided, current condition and any other information necessary for the continuation of care when referring a patient to another health care professional and follow the referral protocol.
- Take full responsibility for own professional practice and always be prepared to justify own decisions and actions.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Provide comprehensive medical services of the patient care
- Perform essential duties and responsibilities as role of consultant.
- Solicit and record information related to patient’s medical history
- Order and execute various tests, analysis, and diagnostic images to acquire information on patient’s condition.
- Work with other doctors as part of a team and strictly adhere to follow internal referral policy.
- All patient (appointment & walk-in) should be consulted until the end of your duty hours. No patient should be rejected or referred without consulting and proper documentation.
- Study and analyze reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnoses patient’s condition.
- Determine and provide medication, dosage and schedule having patient’s condition and allergies.
- Inform patient about any possible side effects to medication or immunization.
- Suggest patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease to promote good health.
- Record patient’s visit, medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action - Ensure follow up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases.
- Medicine samples should not be stored, distributed, or promoted within the consultation room in accordance with the rules and regulations of MOH
- Consult only the registered patient. At any point of time if a bystander needs consultation, advice the bystander to follow the registration process. No consultation shall happen without patient registration.

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- Strictly adheres to originations regulations and policies and avail your service as per the medical Center need prescribed by the center manager
- Support and participate in continuous quality improvement and participates and contribute all quality assurance activities and programs like ACLS, BLS, and CME etc.
- Maintain confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
- adhere to follow and work under the IT Security policies and procedure.
