Duties and Responsibilities of a Joinery Draftsman:

- **Create Detailed Drawings and Plans**:

- Develop precise technical drawings for joinery work, including windows, doors, cabinets, staircases, and other wood-based components.
- Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to generate 2D and 3D drawings.
- **Understand and Interpret Client Requirements**:

- Work closely with clients, architects, and designers to understand the specific needs and preferences for custom joinery pieces.
- Ensure that designs meet the client’s specifications, standards, and building regulations.
- **Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers**:

- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other construction professionals to ensure accurate implementation of the design.
- Provide detailed material specifications and dimensions for accurate construction.
- **Prepare Bills of Materials**:

- List and specify the materials required for the joinery work.
- Ensure the materials are sourced and delivered as per the design.
- **Ensure Quality Standards and Safety Compliance**:

- Make sure that all drawings adhere to quality standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Design joinery that is structurally sound and safe for use.
- **Modify and Revise Designs**:

- Revise and update drawings as needed based on client feedback or changes in project requirements.
- Troubleshoot design issues and come up with effective solutions.
- **Site Visits (if required)**:

- Occasionally visit construction sites to verify measurements, materials, and assess how designs are being implemented.
- Liaise with site workers to address any issues or clarifications during the installation phase.
- **Maintain Documentation and Records**:

- Keep records of design drafts, final designs, project updates, and any changes made.
- Organize and archive drawings for future reference or maintenance.
- **Estimate Costs and Timeframes**:

- Provide estimated costs and timeframes for the production and installation of joinery pieces.
- Assist in budgeting and scheduling the project timeline.
- **Stay Updated with Industry Trends**:

- Keep up to date with new trends, materials, and techniques in joinery and woodworking to improve designs.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3/4 years experience in the same field is a must.
- Bachelors Degree

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
