A water tank cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of water storage tanks in various settings such as residential and commercial buildings. The primary objective of this role is to eliminate contaminants, prevent the growth of harmful bacteria, and maintain the quality of water for consumption and other purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of water tanks using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. This includes removing debris, sediments, algae, and other contaminants that may accumulate over time.

Inspection: Conduct inspections of water tanks to identify any signs of damage, leakage, or structural issues. Report any abnormalities to the supervisor or relevant authorities for prompt resolution.

Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing or replacing damaged parts, valves, and seals. Ensure that all fittings and connections are properly secured to prevent leakage.

Water Sampling: Collect water samples from tanks for regular testing and analysis. Follow standard protocols and guidelines to assess water quality, including pH levels, chlorine concentration, and the presence of harmful microorganisms.

Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tank cleaning schedules, maintenance activities, and water quality test results. Keep track of any repairs or maintenance performed, along with the corresponding dates and findings.

Compliance: Adhere to relevant health and safety regulations, guidelines, and industry standards while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with local water authority regulations and standards.

Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently. Keep an inventory of necessary supplies, such as cleaning agents, protective gear, and repair materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience in water tank cleaning or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials used for water tank maintenance.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations pertaining to water storage and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret water quality test results and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems and components.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
