**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the local accounting department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department heads to support the preparation of an accurate and strategic annual budget.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, offering actionable insights to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Prepare treasury reports, ensuring effective management of both FIAT and Crypto assets.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with local and international banks to optimise financial operations.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with other departments to streamline and optimise financial processes.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering growth and expertise.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to drive best practices.
- Optimise accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial operations.
- Showcase strong time management to consistently meet deadlines.
- Leverage your knowledge in crypto asset reconciliation, including cold wallet operations.
- Ensure proper income recognition related to client accounts, FX/Crypto conversions, cross-border payments, and withdrawals.
- Manage bad debt and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Implement robust risk and operational controls to achieve excellent audit outcomes.
- Ensure all operations comply with authorised processes, documenting every step.
- Tackle additional ad-hoc duties as required.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, ideally within the financial or cryptocurrency industries.
- Expertise: Familiarity with FinTech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and FX brokerage is a strong advantage.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial software skills.
- Mindset: Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Language: Chinese speaker preferred.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets and compiling detailed reports.
- Leadership: Some experience in people management and development is a plus.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects effectively.
