**Job summary**:
The marine supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of marine operations at a port, terminal or offshore project site. The person in the role ensures that all personnel, equipment and vessels are being managed effectively, efficiently and safely. The marine supervisor serves as a lead point of contact between the company and marine-based contractors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily operations and ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures and international maritime regulations
- Monitor and supervise marine operations personnel, conduct training and manage staff schedules
- Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance, safety, and logistics to ensure seamless operations
- Implement and enforce safety measures, policies and procedures for marine operations, including promoting a safety first culture at all times
- Coordinate and manage all marine transport functions, including vessel scheduling and cargo handling, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery
- Confer with the marine operations manager to develop, plan and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and advance productivity
- Assist with the recruitment, screening and hiring of new marine operations staff
- Resolve customer and contractor complaints in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on operational performance, including identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in marine transportation, maritime or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations or marine-related field
- Thorough knowledge of international regulations governing marine operations, including relevance to shipping port operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work remotely and operate on flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends
- Current certification in marine safety and security, first aid and CPR.

**Salary**: From AED4,500.00 per month
