**Job description**:
- Provide assistance in the planning and organisation of nursery events and programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the actions of the staff such as teaching assistants or teachers and their methods. Mentor, train, and give advice to them if necessary. Provides direction, when needed, for teaching staff/subs in the classroom.
- To ensure that children are always engaged in safe, healthy, carefully planned, high quality educational activities in an environment that is stimulating, child centered and designed to promote enjoyment and excitement in learning.
- To lead and work with the team of teachers, early years practitioners and support staff across the Nursery, following the requirements and principles of the EYFS. Takes the lead with classroom Curriculum - Planning, Implementation and Evaluation, ensures lesson plans, curriculum plans, supply requests, etc., are completed on time.
- .To priorities and resolve day to day crises in a calm and reassuring manner.
- To communicate effectively with all parents and carers and encourage them to be involved in their children’s education positively. Assists with Families - Orientation and Communication.
- Oversees day-to-day operation of the classroom; including maintaining a harmonious and efficient work environment, ensuring breaks are taken at appropriate times, daily schedule is followed, etc.
