**About the job**

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Food and Beverage Department in Dubai, the Head Waiter/ess is responsible to deliver a superior dining experience. The role will oversee a designated section of our restaurant, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that every detail of their dining experience meets our high standards of luxury and service. Head Waiter/ess reports to F&B Supervisor.

**As a**Head Waiter/ess, you will be responsible for the following duties**:

- Responsible for managing a section and providing attentive, personalized service with professionalism and warmth.
- Anticipates guest needs and offers expert knowledge of the Italian menu, including dishes, ingredients, and pairings.
- Communicates guest preferences or allergies to management and kitchen teams, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Proficient in POS operations, billing procedures, and knowledgeable about the outlet’s concept and offerings.
- Consistently upsells products, ensures presentation standards are met, and supports other outlets as needed.
- Creates memorable guest experiences and upholds MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs) from arrival to departure.

**As a**Head Waiter/ess, we expect from you**:

- High school qualification required; a degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Waiter or Chef de Rang; luxury hotel or high-volume restaurant experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS and cashiering procedures is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office, is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
