Job Overview:

**Mechanical Design Draughting**:

- **Prepare mechanical drawings** for systems and components such as HVAC, piping, mechanical assemblies, machinery, and other industrial equipment.
- **Develop 2D and 3D CAD models** of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems (using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit).
- Work with engineers to **design mechanical systems** that meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Create detailed **assembly and manufacturing drawings** including specifications, materials, and dimensions.
- Review and revise mechanical designs based on feedback from engineers and clients, ensuring that designs are efficient and feasible.
- Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical codes and standards in the development of design solutions.
- **Design & Drafting**: Create accurate, detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineers and other departments to develop designs for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- **Review & Quality Control**: Ensure all mechanical designs meet technical specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- **Technical Support**: Provide design assistance and updates to the engineering team, assist in prototype development, and address any design-related issues.
- **Documentation**: Maintain and update design documentation, parts lists, and technical specifications.
- **3D Modelling**: Develop and present 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.

Qualifications:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience in MEP design and estimation, specifically in mechanical systems.
- Experience with commercial, residential, or industrial mechanical projects.
- Familiarity with relevant software, including AutoCAD and Revit, for design and estimation purposes.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of mechanical codes and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
