**JOB PURPOSE***MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS***
- Teach a range of core courses related to environmental health sciences in general including environmental impact assessment, vector control, advanced research methodology, and environmental health risk assessment** **for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Coordinate field training courses** **for senior undergraduate students.
- Supervise senior and graduate students in their graduation projects and dissertations.
- Actively engage in research and community service.
- Evaluate students' learning using various methods of assessments.
- Advise students on academic matters.
- Actively participate in departmental assignments and student activities as assigned by the department chair or college dean.
- Serve on department, faculty and university committees as appointed or elected.
**REQUIRED SKILLS***
- Fluency in English at the general and professional levels is essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent professional writing skills (research proposal, scientific monographs, scientific reports, etc.) and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills that can produce effective professor-student interactions.
Behavioral competencies in terms of adaptability, decisiveness, initiatives, perseverance, organizational skills, stress management and valuing profession and diversity.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 3 years' experience of teaching in the field.
- Experience in teaching courses related to **environmental health science and pollution control.**:
- Evidence of active contributions to his/her field through publishing in internationally recognized and peer-reviewed journals and participating in conferences, seminars, and other forums.
- Has experience in credit hour system.
