FEMALE ARABIC GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Provides confidential patient consultations and initial medical care, have knowledge of a broad range of conditions, and diagnose and treat patients of all ages. They conduct screenings and evaluations and analyse the patients' medical history to determine appropriate treatments. They also refer patients to specialists when more detailed investigation is needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct preventive or promotive healthcare services for any patients coming in.
- Should follow standard protocols as per privileges of General Practitioner defined by DOH.
- May keep patients for observations for short period only.
- Call or inform Specialists/Consultants accordingly for further take over if need be.
- Follow protocols regarding prescribing medicines/lab tests and Radiology.
- While treating the patients, should refer patients to Specialists as and when the need identified.
- Examine and talk to patients to diagnose their medical needs.
- Make notes, both as a record of treatment and for referral.
- Lease with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatment.
- Work with other doctors as part of a team.
- Promote health education among patients.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable local regulations and requirements.
- Maintaining professional quality standards to meet those of the MOH.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work in all shifts as scheduled by the Head of Department.
- Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
- Strictly adheres to organization’s regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety.
- Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service.
- Participates and contributes to scheduled in-service training programs.
- Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and Management.
- Maintains confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
- Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
- Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for them.
- Carries out other duties when requested by the Head of department.
- Familiarize themselves and comply with all OSH and Infection Control policies, standards and procedures that are relevant for their workplace.
- Work in accordance with the documented occupational, safety and health procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities defined in individual procedures and instructions.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems and follow safe working procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS:
Graduation from an approved medical school

At least 3-5 years of practice as a GP/GP Derma

Must have license to practice by MOH/DHA.

Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic desirable but not mandatory

FEMALE/NOT LESS THAN 30 YEARS OF AGE
