**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control & Assurance Supervisor with specialized knowledge in the Gold & Precious Metal Products Manufacturing industry to join our team. As the Quality Control & Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of product quality and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your role will involve overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, implementing quality assurance measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
**Responsibilities**:
**1. Training Junior QC Personnel and Establish QA Guidelines**:
Develop and implement training programs for Junior QC staff to enhance their ability to discern acceptable defects from unacceptable ones. Provide guidance on quality standards and techniques regularly. Also to establish quality assurance guidelines and standards to ensure consistency and reliability in product performance.
**2. Supervision of QC Department**:
Oversee the daily operations of the QC department, specifically in Diamond cutting, Buffing Polish, and Finished goods sections. Ensure that all activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently. Also to perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to mitigate quality deviations and non-conformances.
**3. Data Management**:
Record and maintain comprehensive data related to quality control inspections. Utilize this data to track trends, identify recurring defects, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
**4. Root Cause Analysis**:
Investigate and analyze instances of repeated repairs and defects to identify underlying issues. Collaborate with relevant departments such as CAM, Designing, and Casting to address root causes and implement corrective measures timely.
**5. Timely Repair Management**:
Monitor the process of goods sent for repair, ensuring that they are returned within the stipulated timeframe. Coordinate with repair teams to expedite the resolution of issues and minimize downtime.
**6. Weight Discrepancy Management**:
Identify major weight differences in goods and halt their dispatch. Report discrepancies to the CAM/CAD department for further investigation and resolution to maintain product integrity.
**7. Match Finished Goods with Requirement**:
Verify that finished goods align with design specifications and customer orders. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure that quality standards are met before products are released for shipment.
**8. Quality Improvement Recommendations**:
Evaluate existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for quality enhancement. Recommend and implement methods to improve the overall quality of goods, including process modifications and equipment upgrades.
**9. Monitor Implementation of Changes**:
Regularly follow up on the implementation of any changes or improvements initiated in response to quality issues. Assess the effectiveness of implemented measures and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Also be the Interface with customers to address quality-related inquiries, concerns, and feedback, working proactively to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
**10. Reporting & MIS**:
Must participate in Production meeting with Department head to suggest any recommendation to avoid any type of last minute failure in terms of design and or casting process. Also to stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to quality control and assurance.
**11. Accurate Documentation**:
Every lot duly inspected must be supported with accurate details of the exercise carried out in readable contents prior escalating to Finished Goods department/Issuance Department.
**12. Any Other Tasks**:
As assigned by the Reporting Manager and or Top Management are to be adhered.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 Years’ experience in Gold Product Manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in quality control and assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
