**Responsibilities**:

- **Diagnosing Vehicle Issues**: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles.
- **Repairing Vehicles**: Perform repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
- **Performing Routine Maintenance**: Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
- **Replacing Parts**: Remove and replace worn or damaged parts such as belts, hoses, spark plugs, filters, and brake pads.
- **Testing Vehicle Systems**: Test repaired vehicles to ensure proper functionality and performance before returning them to customers.
- **Providing Estimates**: Assess the extent of repairs needed and provide accurate cost estimates to customers.
- **Maintaining Records**: Keep detailed records of all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used for each vehicle serviced.
- **Following Safety Procedures**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- **Staying Updated**: Stay current with advancements in automotive technology and attend training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
- **Customer Service**: Communicate effectively with customers, explain repair procedures, and address any concerns or questions they may have.

**Requirements**:

- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- **Experience**: Previous experience working as an automotive mechanic or in a related field is often required.
- **Certifications**: Possession of relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification may be preferred or required by employers.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in awkward positions.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail to accurately diagnose problems and perform repairs efficiently.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- **Customer Service Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers professionally and provide exceptional service.
- **Tools**: Proficiency in using various hand and power tools commonly used in automotive repair
