**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Oversee the billing process and ensure accurate and timely invoicing of clients.
- Monitor and track outstanding client invoices, identify delinquent accounts, and take necessary actions to expedite collections.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients regarding outstanding payments, answer billing inquiries, and resolve any billing-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Reconcile billing records with the firm's accounting system to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary documentation, such as engagement letters, time entries, and expense reports, for billing purposes.
- Stay updated on client billing guidelines and ensure compliance with billing protocols and legal requirements.
- Provide support during audits and assist in preparing billing-related reports as needed.
- Assist in implementing process improvements and optimizing billing procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to client accounts and billing records.
- Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to junior staff members on billing and collections processes, as required.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- **Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, **or a related field.
- **Minimum of 5 years of experience **as a **Billings and Collections Specialist **in a private practice, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of billing and collections processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections strategies.
- Proficiency in using **CMS Accounting Systems **(or similar billing software) to manage billing processes and generate accurate invoices.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review complex billing data and identify discrepancies.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignments, use initiative and judgment to accomplish results, work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive billing and financial information.
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite, **particularly **Excel, **for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
