As a **Boiler Field Attender **working with an ORC system that uses cyclopentane as the working fluid, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the boiler and ORC system, including its associated equipment. You will monitor and control the operation of the boiler and turbine ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance, while paying special attention to the handling and maintenance of cyclopentane.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1.Daily routine tasks**:
Daily responsibilities include cleaning boiler and turbine areas, maintaining cooling tower levels, performing nitrogen level checks and changeovers, and during shutdowns, cleaning heat exchangers, boiler interiors, and condensers, among other tasks

**2.Boiler & Turbine Operation**:

- Start, operate, monitor, and shut down boilers in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor the boiler pressure, temperature, and flow rates for optimal ORC operation.
- Perform regular inspections of boiler systems, including pumps, and valves, ensuring proper functionality.

**3.ORC System Monitoring**:

- Monitor and control the Organic Rankine Cycle system, including the evaporator, condenser, and turbine systems.
- Ensure cyclopentane is handled and maintained at appropriate temperatures and pressures for safe and efficient system operation.
- Track the performance of the heat exchangers, pumps, and expansion devices within the ORC loop.

**4.Safety and Cyclopentane Handling**:

- Understand and follow safety protocols for handling cyclopentane, a flammable working fluid.
- Conduct leak detection and prevention measures to avoid hazardous situations related to cyclopentane.
- Maintain ventilation, emergency shutdown procedures, and fire suppression systems in areas where cyclopentane is stored or used.

**5.Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on boilers and ORC system components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to boiler operation, ORC components, and cyclopentane fluid flow.
- Document and report any faults, malfunctions, or deviations from normal operation, and take corrective actions.

**6.Monitoring and Data Logging**:

- Record daily operating logs, noting temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and fuel consumption.
- Track the performance of the ORC cycle to identify efficiency improvements or potential issues.

**7.Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Control**:

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to boiler emissions, effluent discharges, and cyclopentane use.

**8.Communication and Reporting**:

- Communicate with the control room and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and immediate response to any abnormal conditions.
- Prepare shift reports and relay critical information to the next shift, maintenance activities, and any safety concerns.
