**Job Title**: Legal Counsel

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Contract Management**: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to fintech, banking, and payment solutions to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Advise on legal requirements and ensure company policies and practices comply with the UAE’s regulatory frameworks for fintech, banking, and payment industries.
- **Risk Mitigation**: Identify legal risks and provide strategic guidance on managing and minimizing risks in business operations.
- **Legal Advisory**: Provide ongoing legal support and counsel to various departments, including business development, compliance, and operations.
- **Dispute Resolution**: Manage disputes and represent the company in negotiations, mediations, or any litigation involving legal issues.
- **Policy Development**: Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures that align with legal standards and best practices.
- **Documentation**: Oversee the preparation and execution of legal documents related to partnerships, agreements, and other commercial transactions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); Master’s or professional legal qualification is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal counsel roles within the fintech, banking, or payment solutions industries in the UAE.
- **Skills**:

- Extensive knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to fintech, banking, and payment solutions.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and review skills.
- Ability to provide clear legal guidance to senior management and various departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- **Languages**: Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) and English.

**Preferred**:

- Previous in-house experience with a fintech or payment solutions company is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in handling legal matters related to data privacy and cybersecurity in the UAE is a plus.
