The InterContinental® Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa comprises 351 keys, a health club, a spa, and two pools. Covering an area of 43,770 sqm, the resort is a short drive from famous archaeological sites such as Dhayah Fort and Sheba’s Palace. Set on a headland surrounded by protected coastal wetlands with lush landscaping fronting a sweeping beach on one side and a manmade waterway on the other, the guest rooms, suites, and chalets offer panoramic water views.
**Your day to day**
- Ensure that reservation telephones are attended at all times during scheduled hours and the team is complying with the set standards of salutations and telephone etiquette
- Ensure that quality of reservation is maintained in terms of guest details, outlet bookings etc
- Ensure that the minimum response time is maintained for all reservation requests. Instant update on detailed information in PMS and reservation system to maintain Guest Satisfaction
- Execute up selling techniques which increase reservation sales and conversion of business
- Sell the hotel products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
- Promote the Hotel’s products and services
**What we need from you**
In order to be considered for this role, ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- Minimum one year reservations agent experience required, prior luxury hospitality experience desired
- Vast knowledge on housekeeping procedures and standards
- Knowledge of Opera PMS
- Operational knowledge of hotel operation
- Requires good English communication skills, both verbal and written
