Veterinary - Pets

Their duties include giving advice to humans on how to properly care for their pets, administering medication, and performing surgery on animals.

**Duties & Responsibilities: -**
- Will Focus mainly on Veterinary consultation, Diagnosis, and treatment of Pets and exotics.
- Perform sterilizations and/or castrations, spays, and other surgeries.
- Vaccinate, Microchip, and prescribe medicine.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment machines.
- Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other body fluids for examination and analysis.
- Advise animal owners about general care, diet requirements[formulation], medical conditions, and treatments.
- Ensure disinfection protocols are followed strictly in the clinic and the pet’s hotel by all staff.
- Treat all animals with kindness, and compassion and extend maximum efforts and utilize each resource to provide necessary care, treat, provide pain relief, protect, conserve and cure.
- Shall extend equal courtesy and tolerate differences with no discrimination for any political, religious, or cultural background.
- Work with the Medical manager to identify a suitable system to be used at the clinic and support implementation.
- Provide medical visits to clients’ homes/animal shelters/ school visits or any location (during working hours) as directed and agreed with the medical manager.
- Regularly supervise the checking of the equipment, tools, and drug stock that is carried out by the head veterinary nurse and in case of his/her absence, he should do that himself.
- He/She shall operate within the code of conduct and obtain necessary prior approvals in the following cases
- Support the bookings and work in a committed manner to support sales and growth of the clinic.
- Participate in complicated surgeries that need 2 Vets.
- Handover of the veterinary tasks to his colleagues (Cases, paperwork, boarding facility follow up, etc ).
- Carry out x-ray, ultrasounds, and surgery, and responsible on the health of all the boarding pets.
- Responsible for the inpatient cases and Lab work supervision.
- In absence of the Veterinary nurse or unavailability will carry out their work.
- Supervise the Veterinary nurses and Animal Attendant’s work.
- Will follow the periodic updated job Description by the ZVC management as deemed necessary to align with the latest clinic offerings, market needs, and regulatory approvals.
- Cover their colleagues in his/her annual vacation.
- Cover the work process after the receptionist and salesperson duty in during the emergency time.
- submit the weekly medical reports to the management.
- The Vet needs to be flexible in the working times and keep the phone available 24hrs for emergencies.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Experienced pet specialist for more than 5 years
- Western Europe vets are preferred
- Veterinarian License - UAE Preferred
- Having a good reputation
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling both large and small animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the well-being of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to work extended hours and on-demand
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
