Job Description:
The Assistant Cook plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary operations of a restaurant,. Working under the supervision of the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, the Assistant Cook contributes to the preparation, cooking, and presentation of various dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients by chopping, cutting, slicing, and measuring as required for recipes.

2. Cooking: Follow recipes and cooking procedures to prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers.

3. Plate Presentation: Assist in plating dishes to ensure appealing visual presentation while adhering to portion sizes and garnishing guidelines.

4. Stock Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory by monitoring ingredient levels, reporting shortages, and restocking supplies as needed.

5. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and utensils according to food safety standards.

6. Collaboration: Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation. Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and other staff members.

7. Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handwashing, temperature control, and safe food handling practices.

8. Menu Support: Assist in developing and testing new recipes, as well as suggesting improvements to existing dishes based on customer feedback.

9. Time Management: Work efficiently to meet food orders within established timeframes, especially during busy periods.

10. Adaptability: Be willing to take on various tasks and adapt to changing kitchen requirements as needed.

11. Training: Continuously enhance cooking techniques and knowledge of different cuisines through on-the-job learning and training.

12. Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality standards in taste, appearance, and texture.

**Requirements**:
1. Culinary Skills: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.

2. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes accurately and plate dishes with precision.

3. Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members.

4. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and performing tasks that require physical exertion.

5. Hygiene and Safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

6. Team Player: Willingness to work as part of a team and support fellow kitchen staff members.

7. Flexibility: Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

8. Culinary Education: A culinary degree or relevant culinary training is a plus but not always mandatory.

9. Worked in similar roles for at least 2 years

Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED2,300.00 per month
