UK College of Business and Computing is seeking an experienced ACCA Lecturer to join their campus in Dubai.
Being one of the only institutions in Dubai to have HND’s at the forefront of the academic offering, and with a prime location in the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), UKCBC is in an excellent position to attract students from both local and international markets.
The Dubai Campus has a Gold Learning Status from ACCA and is now looking for talented lecturers to join the team.
**Key responsibilities**:
- To be able to teach various papers and SBL
- To engage with the College’s broader scholarly and professional communities.
- To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of UKCBC high quality curriculum.
- To assist in the development of ACCA learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor students’ progress, achievement and attendance.
- To participate in departmental meetings aimed at sharing best practice and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
- To participate in the development, administration and marking of ACCA exams and other assessments.
- To provide pastoral care and support to UKCBC learners.
- To participate in the administration of the department’s programmes of study and other activities as requested.
- To contribute to departmental-wide working groups or meetings as requested.
- To maintain own continuing professional development.
- To actively follow and promote UKCBC policies, including Equality and Diversity.
- To maintain an awareness and observation of UKCBC fire and health and safety regulations.
- Developing and implementing new methods of teaching to reflect changes in research.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Must hold a recognised accountancy qualification, for example; ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Commitment to academic activities; Commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students; Commitment to continuous professional development; Commitment to public communication; Commitment to UKCBC’s policy of equality & diversity; and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds.
- Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities locally and/or internationally
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Previous experience in teaching in Accounting and Finance. Although this is desirable it is not essential to have previous teaching experience as full training will be provided.
- Proven record of ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines.
