**Overview of the role**:

- Maintain economical fuel consumption through good driving practices and ensure vehicles are filled with a full tank at the end of each shift.
- Inspect Truck, Car-Carrier and load for defect during and after trips and submit a written report if any defect found.
- Submit all relevant items listed in the driver SOP accurately and on time; including Trip Sheets, Fuel Receipts, signed DOs, Police Reports and Defect Sheets.
- Maintain a 100% damage-free record. Report all accident or incidents involving company equipment to Planning Team. Accurately maintain driver logbook in accordance with company requirements.
- Provides a communication link between customers and Planning staff. Good communication and diplomacy skills required.
- Knowledge of basic truck & automotive maintenance procedures. Awareness and compliance of company Health & Safety Policy. Knowledge of UAE roads and RTA regulations.
- Adhere to company Quality SOP for driving and handling new vehicles.

**Required Skills to be successful**:

- Heavy-duty vehicle UAE driving license with class category 3 & 4.
- At least 2 years' experience in driving car carriers, flat bed or low bed trailer trucks and heavy goods vehicles.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English and preferably some basic Arabic speaking & writing skills.
- Willing to work at an open yard

- 2 years’ experience driving class 4 vehicles with trailers
- Knowledge of basic automotive maintenances procedures
