**Job Description**

A Cable Jointer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical cables and joints. They play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable transmission of electrical power. you will work with electrical distribution networks and be involved in various aspects of cable jointing up to 33 kV.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Cable Installation**: Install and connect electrical cables, ensuring proper insulation, termination, and jointing according to industry standards and safety guidelines.

**Maintenance and Repair**: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical cables, joints, and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

**Fault Diagnosis**: Identify and troubleshoot cable faults using specialized tools and equipment, such as cable locators, fault detectors, and insulation testers.

**Jointing and Termination**: Perform cable jointing and termination tasks, including splicing, soldering, crimping, and sealing, to establish secure and reliable connections.

**Testing and Commissioning**: Conduct tests, such as insulation resistance tests, high voltage tests, and continuity tests, to verify the integrity and functionality of cable joints.

**Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of cable installations, repairs, test results, and maintenance activities for documentation and reporting purposes.

**Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety regulations, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

**High Voltage Training**: Possess a High Voltage Training Certificate and follow proper safety protocols when working with high-voltage electrical systems.

**Collaboration**: Coordinate and collaborate with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and supervisors, to complete jointing projects efficiently and effectively.

**Qualifications**

ITI / Electrician Govt. License with cable jointer certificate up to 33 kV. High Voltage Training Certificate mandatory.
