Job Title CEDU - Adjunct Faculty - Psychology at The American University in the Emirates (AUE) Position Overview Ph.D. and Master's degree holders invited to apply for adjunct/part-time faculty positions in Psychology. The faculty will teach General Education courses under undergraduate programs. Teaching Details Instruction Language: English & Arabic Teaching Load: 6 credit hours per Academic Semester Specialization: Psychology (Bilingual) Job Purpose Responsible for providing students with professional expertise, teaching, assessment, academic advising, committee activities, professional and community service. Qualifications & Education Ph.D. or Master's in Psychology from an accredited U.S. university or recognized university accredited by an American Accreditation body. 18 credit hours of graduate studies in the required field. Minimum three research publications in Scopus journals in the last five years. Experience Minimum 5 years teaching/working experience at an internationally accredited university. Proven record of excellence at baccalaureate and graduate program level teaching. Skills / Training / Knowledge Curricular development and review. Record of professional accomplishment incl. peer-reviewed publications. Continued research program and interest in collaboration with another faculty. Ability to integrate web-based and/or digital technology in the classroom. Willingness to provide service to the University and the College. Excellent English and Arabic proficiency and communication skills for teaching in respective languages. Responsibilities Instructional Delivery: Present research and practice-driven teaching, adapt to latest pedagogical techniques, engaging delivery, develop assessments. Assessment & Evaluation: Evaluate students' performance and grading; provide clear assessment criteria reflecting course content and learning outcomes; set expectations to avoid cognitive bias. Curriculum Development & Review: Contribute to curriculum review and improvement for quality and effectiveness; ensure currency, relevancy, intellectual rigor, and increasing complexity of content and analysis. Professional Development: Acquire latest academic techniques, certifications, technology development, and leadership skills through workshops, seminars, and training.
