About Alpheya

We are a B2B WealthTech startup based in Abu Dhabi and backed by BNY Mellon and Lunate. Our mission is to power and grow our clients' Wealth franchises through differentiated experiences, financial solutions, and insights. We are doing this through a state-of-the-art digital wealth management platform that will enable banks and other financial institutions in the GCC to grow and further penetrate affluent, HNW and UHNW investor segments.

While still leveraging the capabilities and knowledge of large organizations, our fintech is a startup with truly cross-functional and agile teams. This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting opportunity right from its inception, as we look to build our organization, design, and build the product and go-live with the first client in the next 12 months.

Principal Frontend Engineer Role description and responsibilities

1. Leading the frontend development of our fintech platform.
2. Collaborating with Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Designers to deliver high-quality functionalities.
3. Owning the end-to-end delivery of key features, ensuring performance and reliability.
4. Leading by example in writing clean, maintainable code.
5. Driving innovation and improvements in our development practices.
6. Contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

This role is unique due to its blend of technical leadership and hands-on development. You'll be at the forefront of building a cutting-edge fintech platform, facing unique challenges and opportunities to innovate in the finance sector. The impact and contributions in this role are pivotal to our company's success.

Requirements

Nice to have:

- Knowledge of other backend technologies (e.g. Java).
- Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
- WealthTech, Banking or Fintech experience.
