Job Description:

Our client, a reputable Facility Management Services provider is looking to appoint an Internal Audit Manager to develop a flexible risk-based internal audit plan under the supervision of the CEO and Audit Committee.

1. Developing a flexible risk-based internal audit plan with a set of identified audit priorities for review and approval of the CEO and the Audit Committee.
2. Implementing the audit plan and attending to special assignments or projects requested by the CEO or Board.
3. Issuing periodic reports to the CEO and the Audit Committee or Board, summarizing results of audit activities.
4. Raising awareness of the Internal Audit function to establish value-driven alliances within the Company.
5. Initiating and supporting continuous improvement programs to satisfy shareholders and improve operational efficiency.
6. Maintaining a professional audit to meet the future requirements of the Audit Charter.
7. Supporting external and government auditors and maintaining an optimal working relationship with them that avoids overlaps in audit approach and coverage.
8. Ensuring that the organization complies with and keeps abreast of sound internal auditing principles and best practices, particularly with the guidance provided by the Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and other bodies like Information System Audit & Control Association (ISACA).
9. Performing any other task assigned by management, the Chief Executive Officer, the Audit Committee, and the Board.

Internal:

1. Report regularly to the Chief Executive Officer and on an interim basis to the Audit Committee with regard to progress in achieving planned objectives.
2. Attend departmental meetings with the Chief Executive Officer to discuss matters relating to the departments in line with the audit plan.
3. Presentation and reports of financial management controls to the CEO, Directors, and Managers.

5. Considerable knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
6. Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.
7. Considerable knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
8. Considerable skill in conducting quality control reviews of audit work products.
9. Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
10. Considerable skill in negotiating issues and resolving problems.
11. Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations.
