Job Title: Export Packer
Location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi
The Export Packer is responsible for preparing, packing, or delivering household goods, personal belongings, and commercial items for domestic or international moves. This role involves assessing the condition of items, using appropriate packing materials and techniques, ensuring Crown's standards and commitments are maintained and our customers are delighted with the service.
Responsibilities
- Carefully pack household goods, personal items, and commercial goods using appropriate materials and methods.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture and other large items as needed.
- Ensure all items are properly labelled, inventoried, and documented.
- Use padding, wrapping, and custom crating to protect fragile items.
Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate clearly and politely in English with customers to understand and respond to their specific needs and questions.
- Work exceptionally well in a team. Communicate effectively with all team members including Crew Leaders, Move Managers, and Operational Management.
Inventory Management
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all items packed and prepared for shipment.
- Complete all required documentation including condition reports and inventory reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent injury during packing and lifting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Compliance
- Prepare necessary documentation, including packing lists and customs forms.
- Ensure all items are packed in compliance with customs regulations for the destination country.
- Follow Crown's protocols and operating procedures at all times.
Aptitude, Knowledge & Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years previous experience working for an International Moving or Relocation company in export packing for international moves.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Good basic handyman skills to assemble or disassemble furniture correctly.
- Driving licence and/or Forklift certification in home country is advantageous.
- Passionate about delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer experience.
- Can-do attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team to meet customer needs and achieve business goals.
