At Ambassador International Academy, we combine the IB framework and philosophy with the English National Curriculum in our teaching and learning activities. Our academic programmes are designed to provide students with exciting learning opportunities which are as challenging as they are rewarding. The International Baccalaureate provides a curriculum framework and an educational philosophy that allows our team of expert teachers to design activities that prepare our students academically and holistically for the world beyond Ambassador International Academy.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in effective teaching and helping students succeed. While experience in teaching the IB Middle Years and Diploma programmes is preferred, outstanding teachers from any curriculum background are encouraged to apply. Additionally, the candidate should possess:

1. A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Visual Arts
2. Advanced qualifications are preferred but not essential
3. A minimum of 3 years experience teaching Upper High School/Secondary Visual Arts, ideally within an IB curriculum school, however this is not mandatory
4. A strong understanding of the IB DP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred
