Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. In large companies, this requires understanding a global or multi-office network infrastructure.Helps develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.Is responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices and firewalls.Is responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.Manages user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy.Provides support with escalated help desk requests.Leads a team of systems administrators, coordinates with different departments.Mentors team members and educates users.Architecture and maintenance of network storage, virtualized and non-virtualized server environments, and all WAN/LAN networking segmentsBuilding and configuring Windows and Linux Servers for Development, Corporate, and Production datacenter environments, leveraging automation tools for deployments and system consistencyDeveloping and operating various tools to monitor Network, Server, and Storage health and performanceContributing to the capacity, scalability, and budget planningPerforming maintenance and upgrades during off-hours and provide 24 X 7 on-call supportAssist in root cause analysis of production issues and provide report which includes recommendations for identifying future issues more quickly preventing future failures entirely, whether through process or technology improvementsResolve system emergencies with significant impact on the integrity of user data and systemsEstablish software/hardware standards and systems policies and proceduresConceptualize and implement systems within broad technical or structural frameworksPerform capacity planning for system configuration, software services, network services, load distribution, and service interrelationships among computer systemsQualifications:At least 3-5 years of experience working in the information technology sector.Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, information science, information systems or related field.Advanced knowledge of networking and distributed computing environment concepts, as well as a sound understanding of the principles of routing, firewalls, and client/server applications.
