Clinical Assistant/ Associate Professor in Psychiatry Location: Ajman University, Ajman, UAE Company: Ajman University Job Responsibilities - Develop and deliver courses to students, aiming to achieve the university's three fundamental standards: Teaching, Research, and Services. - Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success. - Conduct high‐quality research in the candidate's field and publish results in reputable journals and conferences. - Advance research in relevant biomedical sciences and/or pedagogy, organizing and managing instructional resources, course outlines, and community networks. - Support and expand curricular development in Psychiatry, integrating basic and clinical medical science subjects with clinical sciences. - Actively seek methods, procedures, and resources to best achieve course objectives. - Support and participate in accreditation initiatives. - Maintain relationships with students conducive to learning. - Perform miscellaneous job‐related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Basic medical degree (MBBS/MD). - Earned Ph.D. or a terminal clinical qualification in Psychiatry from an accredited institution. - Board‐certified in Psychiatry and eligible for registration and licensing as a clinical practitioner in the UAE. - Previous experience teaching in an integrated systems‐based curriculum. - Previous involvement in Problem‐Based Learning (PBL) and Team‐Based Learning (TBL) educational processes (development, tutor‐guide preparation, facilitation, assessment) highly desirable. - Ability to communicate in English. - Advanced use of technology in the education process (delivering classes via presentations, using e‐learning systems, reports, etc.). Skills Required - Effective oral and written communication in English. - Dedication to continued professional development and scholarship. - Engagement in high‐quality scholarly work evidenced by external peer review. - Strong pedagogical skills and proficiency in current disciplinary practices. - Ability to develop and lead high‐quality research projects. - Ability to provide academic advising to students. - Capacity to work effectively with diverse communities. - Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
