Job Description Senior Accountant Experience: 11+ years Location: UAE Who We Are Welfare Group is a global, multi-entity investment holding company operating across real estate, private wealth, and investment platforms. Our portfolio includes Prop.com, a property-focused investment and transaction platform, and WELF, our private wealth and investment structuring arm. As the group continues to scale internationally, financial discipline, transparency, and strong internal controls are central to sustaining long-term growth. We are currently transitioning from outsourced accounting to a fully internalised finance function, strengthening ownership, accuracy, and real-time financial visibility across all entities and jurisdictions. This role sits at the core of that transformation. The Mission Take full ownership of the group's accounting operations, ensuring clean, accurate, and timely books across all entities while resolving historical audit gaps and strengthening compliance. Lead the transition away from external accounting providers by building scalable internal processes, controls, and governance frameworks that support reliable management reporting. Enable leadership to make confident, data-driven decisions through audit-ready financial information in a fast-scaling, multi-entity environment. What You Will Do - Own end-to-end accounting across all entities (GL, AP, AR, accruals, FX, fixed assets, intercompany) - Deliver consistent month-end close within D+10 with audit-ready accuracy - Publish Aged Payables on the 1st and 15th of each month - Produce monthly brand-level variance reports and support budget control - Act as the primary counterpart for audits, including clearing historical backlogs - Lead the transition from external accountants, validating opening balances and historical data - Ensure IFRS compliance, clean intercompany settlements, and entity-level governance - Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and accounting SOPs - Drive system improvements, automation, and scalable accounting processes Who You Are - Senior accounting professional with 812+ years of experience - Strong background in multi-entity environments (10+ entities) - Exposure to property, asset management, or investment structures preferred - Proven experience internalising accounting from external providers - Hands-on, structured, and comfortable building order from ambiguity - Audit-ready mindset with high attention to detail - Confident working across complex entity and stakeholder structures - ERP/accounting-system savvy; budget tooling exposure is a plus - Ethical, discreet, and dependable with sensitive financial information Why Join Welfare Group - Lead a true in-house accounting build, not incremental optimisation - High ownership and visibility within a growing investment group - Opportunity to shape long-term financial governance and controls - Exposure to complex, international, multi-entity operations - Fast-scaling environment where accuracy, discipline, and trust matter - Direct impact on audits, compliance, cost control, and leadership decisions
