Position Overview Senior Architectural Designer – Bridges in Dubai focuses on the design of iconic pedestrian bridges, urban mobility structures, public realm connectivity, and infrastructure‑linked architectural solutions. The role supports the full bridge design process from concept development through detailed design, technical coordination, presentations, authority submissions, and stakeholder reviews. It requires strong leadership in guiding architects and BIM modelers while working closely with structural, MEP, civil, and infrastructure teams to deliver coordinated and visually distinctive pedestrian bridge solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design for pedestrian bridges, including steel bridges, concrete bridges, suspension bridges, precast bridges, and architecturally distinctive urban crossing structures.
- Develop concept and detailed design solutions that integrate visual identity, structural logic, accessibility, public safety, sustainability, and functional movement requirements.
- Design pedestrian bridge access systems while ensuring compliance with Dubai Accessibility standards and relevant international accessibility guidelines.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, infrastructure, landscape, and urban design teams to ensure complete and accurate design inputs.
- Guide younger architects, designers, and BIM modelers in the preparation of coordinated pedestrian bridge designs and technical deliverables.
- Review design drawings, 3D models, presentation materials, technical documentation, and design packages for quality and compliance.
- Support authority coordination and submissions involving Dubai Municipality, RTA, Trakhees, DDA, and other relevant Dubai approval bodies.
- Contribute to client presentations, stakeholder workshops, design reviews, and technical discussions for bridge and public space projects.
- Integrate smart design elements such as lighting, sensors, signage, public realm features, and user‑focused wayfinding where required.
- Ensure bridge designs respond to sustainability requirements, Dubai Green Building Regulations, public safety standards, and project‑specific performance goals.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and discipline leads to align design output with project targets, delivery schedules, and technical expectations.
- Support the development of architectural narratives, visual studies, renderings, BIM outputs, and design reports for major infrastructure and urban projects. Ideal Profile The ideal candidate is a senior architectural designer with specialist pedestrian bridge experience, strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, and the ability to lead design coordination across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. The role requires a creative yet technically disciplined professional who can produce iconic bridge concepts while ensuring buildability, accessibility, and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience in architectural design.
- At least 5 years of experience in Dubai or the UAE.
- Specialized experience in pedestrian bridge design from concept stage to detailed design and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience designing steel pedestrian bridges, concrete pedestrian bridges, suspension bridges, precast pedestrian bridges, and architecturally unique bridge structures.
- Strong understanding of Dubai Municipality, RTA, Trakhees, DDA, and local authority approval requirements.
- Registered Architect with UAE Society of Engineers and Dubai Municipality approval preferred.
- Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Design is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Accessibility standards, ADA‑related principles, Dubai Green Building Regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Ability to coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, infrastructure, and public realm consultants.
- LEED AP or Estidama PQP certification is preferred, and PMP certification is an added advantage. Skills Set
